The Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough in Montreal recently announced an ambitious project aimed at expanding and redeveloping the Pierre-Tétreault and Clément-Jetté Sud parks.

This project, set to begin next June, aims to transform these green spaces into true havens of relaxation and recreation for neighborhood residents.

A wind of change is blowing over Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve


The Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Borough in Montreal has unveiled its expansion and renovation project for the Pierre-Tétreault and Clément-Jetté Sud parks.


This initiative, which will start next June, is part of a series of major works aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and providing public spaces that meet contemporary needs.


The project to expand and renovate the Pierre-Tétreault and Clément-Jetté Sud parks aims to create relaxation and recreational spaces accessible to everyone.


The work will include:-

  • Planting trees and seeding new green areas.

  • Demineralizing the soils to promote biodiversity and enhance the parks.-

  • Constructing and renovating cabins to provide modern and comfortable facilities.-

  • Replacing the lighting system to improve safety and the aesthetics of the parks.-

  • Adding play and exercise modules, as well as water play areas for children.-

  • Replacing or adding urban furniture, such as public benches and streetlights.-

  • Maintaining and securing sports equipment.


These renovations are the result of public consultations and meet the expectations of residents and various groups who use the parks.


The Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Borough has worked closely with the community to ensure that the projects meet the needs and aspirations of citizens.
