The Lachine neighbourhood takes another concrete step in its revitalization with the start of construction on the Harbour residential project.

Located at 1900 Notre-Dame Street, this 225-unit rental development represents an investment of more than $60 million. Led by Groupe HD and its partners, the project is part of the transformation of a historic artery into a dynamic residential corridor, steps from the Lachine Canal and Lake Saint-Louis.

Lachine's transformation is picking up speed. Notre-Dame Street is being reshaped today as a leading residential and commercial artery. It is in this momentum that Groupe HD has just marked the official start of construction on Harbour, a new 225-unit rental complex at 1900 Notre-Dame Street.

This is new rental housing on the Island of Montreal backed by a construction site that is already active, not just a promise.

The development represents an investment of more than $60 million, the result of an alliance between Groupe HD, Société Financière Bourgie and Atwater Properties.

The financing is supported by the National Bank of Canada, while construction on the ground has been entrusted to Construction Praxis.

The arrival of 225 new households in the heart of Lachine will have a direct impact on the area: such a volume of residents can only support the economic vitality and foot traffic of Notre-Dame Street's local shops.

This private project acts as a forerunner and will complement the City's major redevelopment of the artery, whose plans were unveiled last September ahead of work in 2028. Rooted near the shores, Harbour is helping to build the Lachine of tomorrow: denser, connected to its industrial history and turned toward its waterways.
