I discovered from my window at 3 a.m. that the Estacade of Île des Sœurs was completely illuminated at night.
Out of curiosity, I went for a walk there this morning and found a real little gem.
The bike and pedestrian path that runs along the Saint Lawrence River Canal starting from Île-des-Sœurs is called the Cycling Link and Green Route.
This path is reserved for bicycles and pedestrians and connects Montreal, Jean-Drapeau Park, Île-des-Sœurs, and the municipalities of the South Shore.
It offers several spectacular views of downtown Montreal and the majestic Saint Lawrence River. On the Island, it starts from Parc de Cours-du-Fleuve and is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Is there any room for controversy? Captain Montreal, a great explorer of Greater Montreal, described another bike path, 'The most beautiful bike path in ALL of Montreal.'
It is located in the northern part of the island, in the Bois-de-Liesse nature park, which spans the territory of 3 boroughs and one city: Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Pierrefonds-Roxboro, Saint-Laurent and Dollard-des-Ormeaux.You can visit it in person or watch it on video on YouTube, at
