The TVA Tower, located on Maisonneuve Street East in Montreal, is being redeveloped to become a residential building.
This ambitious project will transform the tower into 600 housing units, with commercial space on Sainte-Catherine Street.
A New Era for the Neighborhood
The TVA Tower, an icon of the Montreal landscape, is about to undergo a major transformation.
Located on Maisonneuve Street East, this iconic tower will be redeveloped into a modern residential building.
This project, unveiled at the public consultation meeting on April 23, 2025, calls for the creation of 600 housing units, as well as the construction of two other towers of 13 and 15 floors on Alexandre-DeSève and Champlain Streets.
TVA employees are currently in the process of moving to their new offices at 4545 Frontenac Street.
This change marks a new phase for the neighborhood and complements the developments of the nearby Radio-Canada Tower and the Molson Project.
The redevelopment of the TVA Tower is not limited to the creation of housing. The project also includes the installation of businesses on Sainte-Catherine Street, thus helping to revitalize the neighborhood.
This redevelopment project represents a significant visual transformation for Montreal.
The TVA Tower, once a media hub, will become a modern and dynamic living space.
A city council vote is scheduled for next month to finalize this major project.
A public consultation committee will be established this summer to allow citizens to actively participate in the process.
This project represents a unique opportunity to redefine Montreal's urban space while addressing growing housing needs.
