The Pointe-Saint-Charles Community Clinic has become a member of the Association of Private Institutions - Health and Social Services (AEPC).
This membership strengthens the clinic's mission in comprehensive health and home support, while benefiting from the AEPC's support services
The Association of Private Institutions under Agreement - Health and Social Services (AEPC) has just announced the addition of the Pointe-Saint-Charles Community Clinic to its membership.
As a private institution under agreement, the Montreal community clinic has a CLSC mandate, as defined in the Health and Social Services Act. It provides front-line medical and social services to residents of the Pointe-Saint-Charles neighborhood.
The Community Clinic thus joins a group of long-term care and residential facilities that has existed within the public network for over 65 years.
These partners in the health network intend to continue to be ambassadors and catalysts for excellence, proven practices, and the superior quality of services provided to the most vulnerable.
"Since its founding in 1968, the clinic has evolved, the number of people working there has grown, and the range of services has expanded considerably.
A pioneer, our establishment aims to promote the full health of the Pointe-Saint-Charles population by offering accessible, high-quality health and social services, focusing on prevention and advocacy, and fostering civic engagement and inclusion.
We are confident that our membership and the services offered by the AEPC will allow us to strengthen our mission," said Martial Mainguy, Executive Director of the Pointe-Saint-Charles Community Clinic.
"The aging of the population and the increasing lifespan of Quebecers are a collective challenge for us. The investments required in the coming years will be significant, across the entire continuum of care and accommodation, from home care to CHSLDs, including seniors' residences and intermediate resources."
"The expertise developed by the Pointe-Saint-Charles Community Clinic in the areas of comprehensive health and home support represent undeniable assets in this context.
As member establishments of the AEPC, the Clinic will receive all support services in terms of clinical practices, human resources, finances and advocacy, both with Santé Québec and the Ministry of Health and Social Services," concluded Annick Lavoie, Executive Director of the AEPC.
