One of my favorite places, the Montreal Botanical Garden is back after long renovation work.
What a beautiful place, a true paradise.
On its 75 hectares, the Montreal Botanical Garden showcases an impressive diversity of plants to visitors, and this is true in every season.
About twenty outdoor gardens and 10 exhibition greenhouses have been renewed.The Botanical Garden does not show its 100 years of existence, even though many of its greenhouses date back to the 1950s.
A Montreal gem, recognized as one of the most important in the world, the Montreal Botanical Garden offers a vibrant year-round program: events, exhibitions, activities, etc.
The Garden has a collection of around 18,000 taxa that include species, varieties, hybrids, and cultivars, with about 5,000 taxa in greenhouses (for exhibition and service).
Of the 18,000 taxa, nearly 800 are listed on the Red List of threatened species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
