Backbone of a large requalification intervention
The public promenade Luc-Larivée extends between Joliette Street and Jeanne-d’Arc Avenue.
Along its 600 meters, 103 trees and 420 m2 of shrubs have been planted to green the neighborhood. In its center lies Simon-Valois Square, which is the heart of the neighborhood.
This urban redevelopment project was initiated after the demolition of the Lavo factory in the early 2000s, which freed up vast railway lands.
The promenade is lined with many new residential buildings that provide about 950 new homes.
This project is part of a broader initiative to rehabilitate the area, which has also taken place on the former railway land.
