This mention is awarded to college institutions that develop and improve their green practices.

During the 2023-2024 school year, the actions of the Cégep in terms of the environment included acquiring four new charging stations for electric vehicles, implementing initiatives related to biodiversity on campus, and obtaining the Silver accreditation for Eco-responsible Stage for the Émile-Legault Hall.

In line with the major guidelines of the Cégep Vert du Québec program, the Cégep aims to support and train its community so that everyone acquires eco-citizen lifestyles.

In this respect, more than ten awareness-raising activities, nearly twenty training sessions, and a pedagogical day on the theme of environmental education were offered at the Cégep during the 2023-2024 school year, in addition to having begun the integration of the eco-citizen competencies framework into certain programs.

A member of the Cégep Vert du Québec program since 2006, the Cégep received its first Excellence mention in 2008.
