Montreal is a city rich in public artworks, with more than 1,080 pieces created by no fewer than 640 artists, according to Art Public Montreal.
The city is a true open-air art gallery.
Public art in Montreal lists the majority of them and offers you the chance to discover them with a complete map of the collection online.
The oldest work in its database dates back to 1750. By following thematic, historical, or playful routes. A great opportunity to (re)discover the city while getting acquainted with art.
A printed map in French and English featuring 100 public art pieces and 5 discovery circuits is also available.
You can obtain it at the Info-tourist Center, the Tourist Welcome Bureau in Old Montreal, at Place des Arts, at the McCord Museum, and at the Pointe-à-Callières Museum.
