This November, Montreal affirms its status as a world city, vibrant with cultural diversity and culinary excellence.
The Arab World Festival (FMA) is the flagship event celebrating the major contribution of this community to the metropolis.
This cultural momentum is complemented by CINEMANIA, which honours the cinema of Morocco, and the return of MTLàTABLE (Tourisme Montréal), which offers a culinary feast at 150 participating restaurants.
The Arab World Festival (FMA
Montreal lights up with the hosting of the Arab World Festival (FMA), taking place from November 4th to 17th.
This event is an essential showcase for the artistic, musical, and literary richness of this vast region, serving as an intercultural bridge and a venue for constructive dialogue.
The festival holds particular importance in a city where the Arab-origin community is one of the largest and most dynamic, contributing massively to the metropolis's vibrancy.
Successive waves of immigration, particularly from the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia), have made this community a vital force, recognized for its high level of education and entrepreneurial spirit.
Places like the Petit Maghreb district, on Jean-Talon Street East, embody this contribution as a unique commercial and cultural hub.
The FMA is thus a celebration of this contribution, reinforcing harmony and the pride of belonging to a progressive environment.

CINEMANIA
Echoing this celebration of diversity, the CINEMANIA festival (November 6th to 17th) is honouring Morocco this year.
This choice establishes a strong link with the FMA and highlights the major contribution of Moroccan culture to the Francophone world.
CINEMANIA, which presents the best of Francophone cinema with English subtitles, offers a privileged look at Moroccan production this year with the screening of 16 feature films, including 7 Canadian premieres.
Additionally, there are 2 short film programs and a dedicated exhibition at the Cinémathèque québécoise.
This special focus consolidates CINEMANIA’s mission to act as a leading international cinematic exchange platform, all while celebrating the plurality of voices within the Francophonie.

MTLàTABLE
Finally, Montreal's culinary scene shines with the return of MTLàTABLE (November 1st to 17th).
This unmissable autumn event is organized in partnership with Tourisme Montréal, underscoring the importance of gastronomy as a driver of attractiveness for the metropolis.
This year, the event brings together approximately 150 restaurants participating by offering fixed-price menus.
MTLàTABLE is a positive initiative that encourages citizens to (re)discover the flavours of their neighbourhoods—including the contributions of all communities—supporting the restaurant industry and contributing to Montreal's status as a major and pleasant place to live.
