The redevelopment of Le P’tit Beaubien, located in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough, is now complete.
With an investment of $8.6 million, this commercial sector has been transformed into a green, welcoming, and resilient public space designed for today’s citizens and future generations.
The borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie is celebrating the completion of a major project: the transformation of Le P’tit Beaubien.
Located on Beaubien Street East, between 38th and 41st Avenues, this area—once dominated by concrete and 1960s-style urban planning—has been completely reimagined to reflect the community’s aspirations.
The new look of Le P’tit Beaubien features widened sidewalks, sponge curb extensions, the planting of dozens of trees and thousands of plants, as well as the creation of public plazas and a large gathering space.
Warm urban furniture and redesigned lighting contribute to a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere.
This project, the result of local planning efforts in 2023 and 2024, embodies a vision of a human-scale city.
It aims to foster social interaction, boost commercial vitality, and strengthen the neighborhood’s climate resilience.
François Limoges, mayor of the borough, stated that “Le P’tit Beaubien is transforming how we experience the neighborhood.”
Karine Boivin Roy, MP for Anjou–Louis-Riel, highlighted the boldness of the urban design and its potential to combine economic activity with community friendliness.
Le P’tit Beaubien is now ready to welcome residents in an inspiring setting that reflects a forward-looking Rosemont.
